StoryBoard Planning

To begin the week, each team member took on different tasks to maximize productivity. Luci and I started discussing the storyboards and potential camera shots/angles. As I described my ideas, Luci wrote down descriptions for each scene. Drawing from our previous project made the process easier, allowing us to finish the storyboards in one day. I then started to create visuals for the scene descriptions to give us a clearer picture of how each shot should look during filming.

I wanted to draw the story boards because I have a good artistic eye. I realized that bright/dark lighting is crucial for conveying this contrast and establishing the mood. I want to show contrast between the happy scenes of the girls getting ready to the suspenseful/scary scenes of the uber driver. To clearly indicate camera movements and subject directions across scenes, I made sure to incorporate directional arrows in the storyboards. Using this technique provides the group with a clear understanding of what is exactly going on in scene. I am not fully done with the story board illustrations as they take time due to all the details. I will continue to work on them and discuss further camera angles.
