Day of Production

Over the weekend we started filming our final project. During the process we encountered a couple issues. To start off, we were originally supposed to film on Saturday February 17 but Izzy, one of my team members, was sick that day. She had a massive headache and we all collectively decided to change it to Monday February 19th. This worked out perfectly as it was a president's day and we didn't have school.

Another issue we had was filming the party/facetime scene. At first, I was set on the idea of us filming Ryne in front of a tv as it plays a video from inside a party. However, when it got time to film, we realized there were not any good videos on YouTube to make it realistic. I had to scratch my original idea and instead Izzy had the idea to film it in her room. She has blackout curtains and led lights which was perfect to create a party like atmosphere. We told Ryne to go up against a plain wall and me and Izzy held up flashing-colored lights while Luci filmed Ryne. Instead of playing the sounds out loud while we filmed I decided I would add the party sounds and music while I edit to make it clearer for the audience to hear it. With me and Izzy's quick-thinking skills we were able to solve this problem without further complications.

The only thing that we weren't able to finish was the clip of us hanging up the missing poster. Since we ran out of time I decided we should just film it at school the following week. We tried filming it one day but it was way to windy for the poster to even stay taped up on the pole so we had to delay filming another day. Finally the weather was perfect and we were able to film it without struggle.

Overall, there were no further complications, and everything went smoothly during the main filming day. We all got there on time at 3:30pm and we started setting everything up to cohere to mise-en-scene and properly portray a “teenage girls' room. We ended perfectly on time at 7pm.
