Sounds
Sound design in film enhances the viewing experience by creating realism, depth, texture, and emotional resonance. It also conveys offscreen information, builds anticipation, and surprises the audience. I added a sound motif during the uber driver scenes to signal to the audience that a certain character is coming, creating suspense. I also layered sounds to create depth. For example, I layered sounds of people chattering to the background of the FaceTime call to make it seem like Ryne was at an actual party, making it realistic. I also added a sound effect of a phone ringing to enhance what is happening.
For all my sounds I faded them in and out so everything would flow and there would be no harsh breaks. For some effects I would have to adjust the sound levels because it was either too loud or too quiet. To find the perfect pitch I would have to play around with he sound levels until it was perfect. Another thing I had to adjust was Rynes voice. His voice was way too high pitch so when he pretended to be the scary uber driver it didn't sound realistic. I had to make his voice deeper to appeal to his character more.
