CCR Reflection: Podcast

One form of media that I used to answer the CCR question 4 was through a podcast. Before starting the podcast I thought it would be easy due to all me having to do it talk. However, shortly after starting I realized it wasn't as easy as it seemed.

To start the project I started using the platform podcaster. It seemed easy and many people recommend me to use it. However, the app did not work at all for me. I recorded my podcast at least 3 times and it took me around 30 minutes to even get the sound to turn on. After that when adding in effects it would glitch out and completley distorted the sounds. At this point I was completely over editing on podcastle so I restarted and changed the platform to adobe audition. Once I switched it to adobe audition everything went smoothly. I was able to pick up my previous skills learned from the beginning of the year when working in adobe audition. I added sound effects, and intro/outro music to help engage the audience and make it more entertaining.

During the middle of the podcast I added a fake AD sponsored by my movie. This not only kept my podcast engaging but also provides some marketing for the movie. The AD is for a safety tool that contains pepper spray, window breaker, alarm and so much more. This is relevant to my movie because three young girls are kidnapped. If one of the girls had the gadget then maybe there situation would have turned out differently. I had my mom voice the AD so it wouldn't just be me talking to whole time. Her voice was very upbeat, and sounded like a real infomercal.

Also for my podcast I created a cover page so I would be able to turn it into a video and publish it on YouTube. The cover page consisted on my podcast name, the episode number, and my name. I included scary graphics to appeal to my movie and the crime theme. Due to this, at first glance the audience can already tell what the podcast is going to be about.
