Midterm Reflection
On the first day of the project, my previous team and I decided to use our midterm project idea as a starting point. This rough draft allowed us to reflect on our strengths and weaknesses, discussing what we could improve to create a successful movie intro. Though we saw potential in the original clip, we knew it needed more work. As a group, we got together to outline and discuss the revisions we would make to enhance the intro.
The first change I would like to make is to add the credits to the beginning and introduce the characters as the music plays. This will hopefully give the audience a sense of what the movie will be about and give the characters' names earlier on. We also needed to have an establishing shot as the first clip so it can introduce the scene and tell the viewers where and when the action is happening. This is an important shot that we forgot to film for our previous project. Lastly, we need to cut down some clips as some were too long and cut down on valuable time we could have used.
Some things we did good on the midterm were our use of different camera angles and shots. We will defiantly continue to use a wide variety of shots in our final project. I also want to continue to do a graphic match when ordering the uber and accepting it because it helps establish a strong continuity of an action leaving suspense for the viewer.
