Different genres

During the beginning of the project, as a team we decided to do research on different genres. I wanted our final project to be a mix of thriller, horror, and crime. Luci research Crimes and Izzy research horror genres. I spent most my research focusing on thriller movies and conventions of thriller movies. This gave me valuable information that I was then able to use during the creation of our project. 

Horror films aim to cause dread in audiences by using frightening images, themes, and situations to scare, startle, shock, and repulse the viewers. While mood and atmosphere are crucial to the genre, story and characters remain just as important. Crime fiction deals with crimes, their detection, criminals, and their motives. Most crime novels crime novels share a common structure. First there is the crime, usually a murder; then there is the investigation; and finally the outcome. Finally Thriller is a  genre of fiction with numerous, often overlapping, subgenres, including crime and horror. Thrillers are a type of mystery that deliver excitement through action-packed scenes full of tension, anxiety, and fear. Unlike typical mysteries, thrillers are plot-driven narratives focused on  stakes and frequent plot twists. As you can see each genre plays into each other which is why we all chose different genres. We are all learning different stuff all while being able to combine it and work together.
